Supplied with 1 tube of slab coating/jointing compound with every slab.

High-density non-fibrous 50mm slabs with either black or white intumescent coating on both main faces. Made using a fire-resistant sponge for effective fire protection. Supplied with jointing compound to fix slabs together where required. Installation of non-fibrous slabs prevents irritation to skin, eyes and the respiratory system, making them suitable for rooms with computers, sterile rooms, theatres as well as food preparation areas.

Suitable for use as a permanent fire barrier in walls, floors and ceilings, as well as around services. Its pliable material makes it easy to cut or resize with a sharp blade to suit any void. Where cables and services pass through, EW Fire Wraps or Firoblok are suitable to provide additional fire protection. Intumescent slabs will retain fire protection qualities even when painted or decorated over. 

For large floor openings, it is recommended to add additional support using MESH chicken wire mesh to reinforce strength and durability and where opening is wider than 800mm use SUP metal support battern.

FIRE TEST PERFORMANCE

Tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987), achieving integrity of 126 minutes.

Tested at VNE to European Standard EN1363-1 (2000).
