Fire & acoustic protection gaskets for metal socket boxes. Metal socket boxes must have gaskets installed where they’re back-to-back. This also includes if cables pass through walls. .

Lightweight and flexible, fire protection gaskets & acoustic sponge for metal boxes can accommodate wires and cables by cutting holes where required. Trimmed to size to fit most socket boxes, with self-adhesive backing for easy application.

Intumescent gasket which adheres inside recessed metal boxes housing electrical wires. Suitable for either single or double socket boxes placed in brickwork, blockwork or plasterboard walls. An acoustic version of this gasket is also available.

FIRE TEST PERFORMANCE

Acoustic fire and sound trap linings tested to BS476 Part 22 (1987), achieving 4 hours protection in solid walls and 71 minutes in cavity walls.

Acoustic criteria tested to BS476, Parts 20/22, EN 1364-1 (1999) & EN 1365-2 (1999).
