The EN/F KIT consists of three 310ml tubes, two tubes of EN/F1 dark grey high expansion fire resistant intumescent sealant and one tube of EN/F2 white intumescent mastic for use as a decorators finish.
The EN/F1 is a powerful intumescent graphite compound, which is an ideal solution to seal gaps around penetrations in both hollow and solid walls, including floors and ceilings providing an effective and economical fire rated sealing solution.
The EN/F1 is pumped into the hole around the service in brick, block or concrete to an approximate depth of 30mm. For plasterboard walls, such as two 12.5mm boards = 25mm or two 15mm boards = 30mm, fill up at least 22-27mm into the wall respectively, leaving 3mm approx. for the EN/F2 white facing material.
The EN/F2 is used to fill the gap from the dark grey sealant up to the front surface of the plasterboard or block wall using a decorators spatula. When cured this can be over painted.
The kit of three tubes have a hole filling capability of 5 holes at 60mm diameter or 4 holes at 75mm diameter.
The EN/F1 is available to buy separately here.
Tested up to 2 hours fire protection and insulation in plasterboard hollow walls and brick, block walls.
– Suitable for use with aluminium, copper, plastic and steel pipes up to 50mm diameter
– Can also be used for cables (including armoured cables, MICC and flexible cable types) up to 32mm diameter
– EN/F sealant types are made of water-based materials which become water-resistant once cured
