The flexible cavity barrier for timber is a PVC and foil-clad intumescent strip with self-adhesive backing to adhere to walls. Designed especially for timber frame buildings. High expansion intumescent locks against the external side of the internal wall in a fire without affecting the outer wall. Blue plastic sleeve robust enough to prevent damage by water or pests. Under heat the intumescent creates a fire seal, thus providing full fire protection. Cut the seals to any length using the joint sleeve supplied for sealing off the ends.

– Both barrier ranges will provide a minimum of 2 hours protection
– CV strip barriers are ideal for modular buildings where space is limited, due to their small profile
– Initially install with adhesive strip to hold in place, then fix more securely with non-combustible fixings
– CV Strip barrier tested to BS476 parts 20, 22 and BS EN 1363-1 (1999), giving fire protection from 60 to 120 minutes.
